Rebel Without a Cause (Nicholas Ray, 1955) is a film of the coming of age genre. The film depicts troubled teenagers looking for answers and contemplating about their lives. Rebel Without a Cause showcases the coming of age genre perfectly. The genre is showcased throughout the entire film by showcasing the teenager’s issues, worries about being a teenager, and troubled lives at home.
